I used to take it and had to discontinue it because it gave me the same horrible symptoms.. I quit it and they all went away within days but I still get bad acid reflux if I eat any spicy foods and so I can honestly tell you that the side effects are caused by Celexa. I actually did faint several times from it. I had brain shocks from it and mini seizures. I also found out it gave me irregular heart murmurs and I went to a heart specialist because of it. It is dangerous. I think zoloft is your best bet.

To be honest I can't say that those effects would be caused by celexa. Perhaps some mild nausea, perhaps some panic, anxiety and shakeyness – and even an allergic reaction.But from only taking one those effects should have been well out of your system in 48 hours. And none of those effects should be permanent. Even if you were highly allergic.I'm sorry for your situation, but it's pretty near impossible for the celexa to have caused this. I would look to other sources that could be doing the damage. Perhaps even change doctors if you need a second opinion. Good luck. The listed side effects for Celexa are all very mild compared with what you ended up with. Perhaps the Celexa triggered it all off but this would be very difficult to prove and could not have been foreseen by your doctor. my daughter 17 takes it and hasnt had these symptoms. If you truely feel its the medication then you need to quit taking it. but go to webmdand look up that med under the drug tab. At the bottom of the page there is a link to more side affects. It tells the whole list of what a meds side affects are. Check it and see if your symptoms are there. its a longer list than the ones listed under the side affects tab.good luckkathy
